# ValU

> ValU (val-u.app) is a free website for finding out what your collectibles, thrift finds, antiques and vintage items are worth. Take a photo, scan a barcode, or type the item name to get an estimated resale price range based on recent sold and listed prices found online — then buy or sell in the free ValU Marketplace.

ValU identifies items from a photo with AI and runs a web search for recent sold and listed prices found online, on sites such as eBay, Discogs and PriceCharting. Each valuation is an estimated low–high range, not a guaranteed price, and estimates can be wrong. ValU is free to start; usage limits can apply. The ValU Marketplace is a listing board: buyers contact sellers directly to arrange payment and pickup or shipping.
